Our first topic this half term will be the rainforest. We will be learning all about the animals that live in the rainforest and what makes their habitat special. We will be applying this learning in English, writing information factfiles, short stories and poems.

In Spanish, we will be learning the Spanish words for numbers 1-20. We will be learning to say how old we are in Spanish and will begin to ask others how old they are! We are going to throw a Spanish birthday party!

In Science, we will be learning about forces and magnets. We will be comparing how things move on different surfaces and how magnets work.

In PSHE this half term we will be learning about how to keep ourselves safe and road safety. We will also be learning about anti-bullying day and remembrance day.

Our PE sessions will continue to be on a WEDNESDAY. Please remember to send in your child's PE kit for this day each week so they have the appropriate clothes to wear. Please could we also ask that all clothes are clearly named so items are less likely to get lost! Thank you.

On Friday we will begin sending reading books home with the children. Please continue to share your child's reading book with them as often as you can, it makes such a difference to their learning and progress. Our library sessions will continue to be on a Thursday. The children will bring home a book to enjoy with you. It may be a book at their reading level or one that you can read to them. Please return library books on a Thursday so the children can swap it for a new one.

We will be sending home Wow Cards this week. Please write down and send in any special 'wow' moments. We love to celebrate them with the children and share in the progress and success they are making outside of school.
