We have organised three days of activities for year 6 pupils on Friday 30th June, Thursday the 6th and Friday 7th July to celebrate their time at Portsdown Primary School. On Friday 30th June, there will be a range of in school activities including: cooking, art and drama workshops. We plan to take the children to Playzone on Thursday 6th July for two hours in the morning where they will be provided with squash and ice-cream, this will then be followed by a BBQ in the afternoon. On Friday 7th July, we will be going to Queen Elizabeth Country Park all day where the children will be taking part in shelter building and other activities. It is hoped that every child will be able to take part in all the activities.
The total cost will be £10.00, we hope you appreciate this has been heavily subsidised by the school.
Children will be allowed to wear non-school uniform on these days, it essential that they wear appropriate clothing for the activities. Especially on Thursday the 6th July when children visit Playzone they will need to wear full length trousers, long sleeved tops and trainers. On Friday 7th July children will be outdoors and will need waterproof clothing and comfortable footwear.
A packed lunch will be needed for all children for the trip to Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Please indicate below if you are entitled to free school meals and wish to have a packed lunch provided for your child by the school.
A lunch will not be needed on Thursday 6th July as the children will be eating a BBQ upon their return from Playzone.
Please complete the permission slip below and return along the money to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible, but no later than Monday 19th June 2017.
Please note that it is possible that some children may not be allowed to take part if their behaviour in school is causing concern.
